The first book entitled ‘ Japones y Japoneses en las orillas del Guadalquivir’ was brought out in 2007 by Don Juan Manuel Suarez Japón who was responsible for collating and coordinating all the data that Don  Virginio Carvajal Japón was collecting until the time of his death which took place in July 2005 unexpectedly.

This book sets out to explore the great discovery of the Japón surname and various anecdotes from Don Virginio related to the history of the Japanese who settled in Coria del Rio in the year 1614.

Many incredible individuals participated in the creation of this book, one of which was the Japanese ambassador to Spain, Sr. Motohide Yoshikawa who penned the prologue.

This book was edited by the El Monte Foundation and coordinated by Juan Manuel Suarez Japón in 2007 and this edition consists of 1,000 copies
