Tiana is a municipality, located 15 kilometers from Barcelona, basically residential that welcomes among its inhabitants people who used to live in Barcelona and who have decided to establish their residence in the metropolitan area, despite continuing to work in Barcelona or Badalona, to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle surrounded by nature.

Located in the Serralada de Marina and a short distance from the sea, Tiana is a very quiet town. With just over 8,000 inhabitants, this Maresme municipality has managed to maintain a low population density, preserving the natural environment and a quiet and relaxed lifestyle.

Tiana is a town with a high socioeconomic level, along with Alella and Teià is one of the towns of the Maresme with a higher per capita income in Spain, but as a residential center has little economic activity.

Surrounded by the Serralada de Marina, this beautiful municipality of the Maresme is protected from the north winds to enjoy a mild microclimate that has historically been used for the cultivation of vines under the Alella Designation of Origin.

 

What to see in Tiana

If you visit Tiana, be sure to visit the outskirts of the village along the paths of the Parc de la Serralada de Marina to reach, among pine trees, the top of the Conreria from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the entire plain of Vallès, Montserrat and Montseny or the towns of the coast of Maresme to Barcelona.

What to do in Tiana

Tiana offers its inhabitants different cultural activities of all kinds: Theater, thanks to two consolidated entities: the Agrupació Artística del Casal and the Societat Recreativa Nou Pins, which each year organize the Vila de Tiana Theater Contest. In music, the Jazz Summer or the Tianenca Association of Musicians stand out. In addition, for stargazers, the Tiana Astronomy Group organizes various activities.

Since 1997, the year in which the “Tres Toms” was recovered, which is celebrated on the first Sunday of March, where hundreds of riders gather in pilgrimage through the town.

The town’s own festivals are lived and celebrated with fervor, such as the Fiesta Mayor, on September 16, in honor of Sant Cebrià or the Fiesta Mayor Pequeña, for San Antonio de Padua, which is celebrated in June.

On Easter Mondays the Encounter of Joy is celebrated; and since 1997 the “Three Toms”, which is celebrated on the first Sunday of March, has been recovered.
